Developing Emotional Intelligence coaching cards by Reveal Solutions is a powerful tool that can be used to encourage reflection and discussion of both our understanding of self, and our impact on others.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the level of ability that an individual has in understanding other people. This involves being proactive, balanced, and being able to work with integrity and having a great insight into themselves and others.
The Developing Emotional Intelligence Cards are arranged in 4 colour suits, each representing a different EI domain – Self Awareness, Social Awareness, Self-Management and Relationship Management. Each of the 12 x cards in each domain contains a question to consider, a supporting statement, and a tip to apply the learning.
With the help of these cards you have an opportunity to develop your EQ. The cards are a great tool to encourage discussion and reflection, and are easily used in pairs or as part of a group activity. Whether it is a discussion between you and your manager, you and the rest of the team, or for your own personal development, these cards provide questions that open up paths to the fruitful discoveries beyond the first answer.
This is also an ideal tool to use as part of an experiential learning review session - use these cards to help structure a review around helping participants to notice what happened during the experience and to draw conclusions as to why. We can only develop our emotional intelligence through a combination of quality introspection and focussing on others.
